A great start

Transfers

When I first saw the squad I saw that some tweaking was required. Because of this I decided to sign a few players.

Whilst also noticing that the squad needs to be altered, I also changed all of the staff.

League

In my eyes this has been a great yet unlucky start. The season started off with us heading to Arsenal for a game at The Emirates.

We started strongly with Surman hammering in a close effort to make it 1-0 to the Canaries. Despite us holding hard and long, we couldn’t hold them out till the end. RVP scoring in the 93th minute to get Arsenal a point. After this game we got fined £25,000 for having 6 people booked. Shows that they were trying to hold off Arsenal in any possible way.

The next game in the League was against Blackburn at Carrow Road.  Started strongly once again with numerous chances coming near. Right before the break Bradley Johnson fires in a screamer to put City up 1-0. Once again the Canaries’ defence get’s breached in the last 10 minutes. Thanks to the own goal by Ryan Nelsen the Canaries get their deserved win.

The second match of the season was in the League Cup where we fielded a weak squad against Leyton Orient. Despite a valiant effort by most of the reserves we lost 1-0. Personally I didn’t really mind whatever the result was because I’m not aiming to get a run in the Cup.

The next game in the League was against Aston Villa at Villa Park.  Once again we started strongly with Johnny Russell putting us ahead in the 17th minute with a great finish. Two minutes later Darren Bent fires in to equalise for Aston Villa. By half-time Norwich are down 2-1 due to Jermaine Jenas blasting in a screamer. Shortly after half-time Darren Bent scores his 2nd goal. In the 76th minute there were looks of a Norwich come back when Hoolahan scored. Sadly it was not so, we lose a well fought game.

The next post will be posted when I reach November in-game.

A new era

A new era begins here at Norwich City FC where they have hired ex-professional footballer, Ben Doughty.

The minimum expectation at Norwich City this season is Avoiding Relegation with a transfer budget of £3m. The wage budget is £235,000 per week.

Looking at the squad there is quite a bit of rennovation required.

Next blog will be updated with all results up to September the 1st.
